Have you been on the 21 Day Fast?  If so, determine now in your heart and spirit to finish strong.  Let’s conclude this thing with a  burst of spiritual energy.  Let’s run the race as to win it!  1 Corinthians 9:24-27 says to run in such a way as to obtain the prize, but to do what we must to bring our body into subjection.  Right now as I sit writing this, stomach growling, being completely empty because I am at the end of a 24 hr total fast, I must do just that.  I bring my body under subjection.  I choose to dwell on things of God and what He has to say to me and to you.  I allow Him to speak and I listen.

So, let’s “lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance, the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1)

What’s the purpose of this Fast?  To be in the position to hear God when He speaks so I can do the work which He sent me to do.  This fast is just preparation for the race that He as given us to run while here on Earth.  I want to be able to say, “I have glorified you on Earth.  I have finished the work which You have given me to do”, just as Jesus said in John 17:4.

My life’s goal is to fulfill my God-given purpose!  As God reveals His will for me, I am determined to do just what He directs me to do.  I want to be able to say (2 Timothy 4:7) “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”  I want to finish strong!
