Hebrew 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Diligence, perseverance, determination, pursue… All action words. What are you diligent in? What are you pursuing? We’ve been talking about seeking and fulfilling our purpose but what is your first priority? Is it seeking purpose or is it seeking God? We must seek Him first and then He will guide us to purpose. We must seek His face and not His hand. Intimate relationship is what He created us for. He wants relationship…with you! How awesome is that. He planned from the beginning of time to create you for relationship with Him.
We must not forget our first priority! It is not what we can do, or what we can get, but it’s who He is. We must believe that “He is…” And if we diligently seek Him, He will reward us. With abundance. With health. With purpose!
Matthew 6:33. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
God’s Word says if we seek Him first, purpose will be added to us. If we focus on relationship, He will reward us with purpose. He placed purpose within us so it will please Him if we fulfill it. All He wants is…everything! Give it all to Him and He will return it “pressed down, shaken together and running over”. You will never outgive or outdo God. He just wants you to let it go long enough for Him to multiply it.
Psalm 37:3-5, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
If we delight in Him, and we commit our way to Him, He will give us the desires of our heart and He shall bring it to pass. Not He might, but He shall! The bottom line is that each one of us was created for a specific purpose. He places the desires in our hearts. And if we delight in Him, trust in Him, and seek Him, He will make sure those desires come to pass. He delights in us fulfilling our purpose, being blessed, and living in victory.
So as you seek to fulfill your purpose, remember to seek Him first. Remember what your priority must be!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5, 6
